My Blessings

I sit in quiet reflection,
At the end of a perfect day,
Counting the many blessings
God lovingly sent my way.

The birds; the trees and flowers;
The beauty of a placid sea;
A trickling mountain stream
Bringing quiet serenity.

As I ponder on God's creation,
I feel my tensions ease;
Surrounded by such bounty,
My heart is filled with peace.

When the twilight has fallen
And stars are shining bright,
I count my blessings yet again
In the velvet dark of night.

Dear friend...

 On this 'Thanksgiving Day", let us spend a 

 few minutes talking with our family and

ask them for what and why are they

 thankful for this year. Sharing our thoughts

at this time is a great opportunity to learn

about each other and Worship God.

Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday; it gives

us a chance to reflect on why we are indeed

thankful.  A special day to be compassionate

with those less fortunate and share some

of what we are so privileged to have.

"A day to forgive others and pray that

they forgive us and start anew; rejoicing and

   respecting our differences"...

 We are thankful for our families,

our friendships and very important, our

freedom ~ our Country~ our Troops; God bless

each and every member of the Armed Forces,

their families and our Government.

 We are thankful for, our senior, our youth,

 God's little children, all of humanity...

We are so grateful to our Clergy who better help

 us understand the bible and our faith;

therefore, leading us closer to

Our Lord and Savior...

As food is an important aspect of Thanksgiving

and we all associate turkey, stuffing, and

pumpkin pie with Thanksgiving, yummy:):)

We are thankful to our Lord who gives us these foods. 

He, who made it possible for us to experience

 all these wonderful foods which nourishes

our bodies, our minds, and helps us grow and

maintain good health.

In preparing our food, serving, eating, and praying  

  with our families, we are showing God that we are

thankful and grateful of this wonderful

bounty that He provides...

Let us give Him Thanks and Praise

Dear Lord, thank You for loving us and providing food,

shelter, and each other. Every moment of our lives

is a gift, and we appreciate all the time You

have given us and all that you have done for us...

Thank you for all our good fortune and for not

abandoning us when tragedy strikes...You always

see us through it no matter the circumstances are...

But most of all we give you thanks, Dear Lord, for

giving us Your only begotten Son, who died on the

cross for all of our sins...We Love you Jesus, we

give you Thanks and Praise, Amen
